When you were 12-years-old, what were you doing to pass the time? Chances are, you weren’t creating creepy sculptures using random found materials like Callum Donovan. And based on the finished sculptures you’re about to see, it’s clear that Callum has already found his passion in life.
“I started making things when I was about two years old,” said Callum. “I made sculptures out of fabric. I started experimenting with making my own clay out of toilet paper, dry wool compound, mineral oil and glue.”
Eventually, Callum started putting things together to form creepy sculptures. “I like to use a lot of found objects,” Callum continued. “Whenever I go outside I’m always scavenging for bits of metal. I’m always looking on the ground for them.”
“People always ask what my sculptures mean but I don’t really like to talk about meaning. I want people to decide what they think it means instead of me telling them.”
