Kids sometimes have the greatest ideas to make our lives simpler. And thanks to British inventor Dominic Wilcox, over 450 kids in the UK got the unique chance to come up with ideas for inventions. Wilcox eventually narrowed the submissions down to 60 drawings and then presented them to companies to help assist with manufacturing.
Among the products submitted and developed include the “Ezy Slice Fryer (Instant Fries)”, “Creakless Slippers” and the “Pringles Hook”. The kids had to explain their inventions to the manufacturers who had only 4 weeks to come up with a finished product. Furthermore, the product had to be exactly as the kids described.
The name of the entire project was entitled “INVENTORS!”
In an interview with the website BoredPanda.com, Wilcox said, “The children were the stars and I gained so much enjoyment seeing them getting excited about their and other peoples’s ideas. Instead of just putting the drawings on the fridge door as most adults do with a child’s drawings, why not push the ideas as far as they can go? Taking the power of children’s imaginations seriously and see where it leads to.”
