If you are a regular traveler on the New York City subway system, you have probably seen some strange things. But the question is, have you seen monsters on the subway? OK, you probably haven’t but you’re about to see them now thanks to artist Ben Rubin.
Rubin created a now popular Instagram account (@subwaydoodle) named Subway Doodle. His tagline is “I draw on the subway on my iPad.” And his drawings are amazing, colorful and funny.
He has gained a huge Instagram following of over 169k. And to think, it all began when he started drawing freakish monsters next to unsuspecting passengers on the subway while he took his daily commute from Brooklyn to Manhattan.
So the next time you’re on the subway in New York, say “cheese”. You might have a monster next to you.
