Polish artist and photographer Anna Tokarska must really love grocery shopping for fresh produce. She uses various fruits and vegetables to make realistic (and quite frankly, healthy) looking art portraits. And interestingly enough, her work is inspired by the paintings of Italian painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1527-1593).
According to Wikipedia, Arcimboldo is best known for “creating imaginative portrait heads made entirely of objects such as fruits, vegetables, flowers, fish, and books.” Tokarska definitely learned from the best. And her work speaks for itself.
All told, the eight fruit and vegetable masterpieces took about a month to finish. Do us a favor and follow Tokarska on Facebook at @annatokarskastudio.
