Photographer Gregg Segal from California wants for everyone to be fully aware of the global pollution problem. And he’s doing it using the power of imagery. In his ongoing project entitled “7 Days of Garbage”, Segal portrays average individuals and families lying in what amounts to a week’s worth of their garbage.
If you think about it, it really is amazing the amount of trash we toss out on a weekly basis. “Obviously, the series is guiding people toward a confrontation with the excess that’s part of their lives,” said Segal in an interview with Slate. “I’m hoping they recognize a lot of the garbage they produce is unnecessary.”
When it comes to global pollution, are you a part of the solution or are you a part of the problem?
