You’ve heard the saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But if you think about it, there’s nothing “glamorous” about breakfast foods. And truth be told, most of us don’t have time to create culinary masterpieces for breakfast. But Japanese food artist Eiko Mori has changed all that by turning boring toast into artistic works of art.
To create these culinary delights, Eiko adds miniature drawings to plain pieces of toast such as tennis rackets, cherries, sushi, and ice cream. If you think about it, the sky is the limit as to the amount of designs Eiko can create in the future. Today it’s toast. Tomorrow it could be a different breakfast food. What could she possibly do with bacon or scrambled eggs?
